Gold powder: It has stable chemical properties and good electrical conductivity, but it is expensive and its use is limited to thick-film integrated circuits.
Silver-based conductive ink: Used extensively for conductive printing of membrane switches. When the printing material is polyester, the silver powder can be dispersed into the polyester resin binder to make a paste conductive ink. When the ink film is poorly dried, the resistance value will increase. It is best to use a far-infrared dryer to dry at 120-130 °C.
Copper: Cheaper than silver, but has the disadvantage of being easily oxidized. Nowadays, copper powder with anti-oxidation treatment is often used. The circuit printed with this ink is not easy to be oxidized, but the disadvantage is that the anti-oxidation effect will be lost after high temperature treatment.
Carbon-based conductive ink: The fillers used in carbon-based conductive ink include conductive slot black, acetylene black, furnace carbon black and graphite, etc. The resistance potential varies with the type. It is mostly used for membrane switches and printed resistors. The former is mostly printed on polyester substrates, so it is the same as silver-based conductive inks, which are inks with polyester resin as the bonding material.
